Ms. Cox began her career in the hospitality industry in 1986 in Germany where she completed her formal training with a three year apprenticeship in the hotel industry and received a B.A. at Bavaria Hotel College in Hotel Management. Ms. Cox has experience with various national and international hotel chains such as Marriott Renaissance, European Ramada Hotels, Sunstone Hotels from Switzerland, Six Continents and Hilton Hotels. She was experience in numerous positions within the hospitality industry i.e. General Manager, Assistant General Manager and Assistant to the General Manager.
Ms. Cox moved to the United States in 1999 and came to work for Northwest Hospitality Group as Front Office Manager of the Homewood Suites Hotel. Due to her knowledge and experience in hotels, she was promoted to General Manager of a Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites in Vancouver, WA. After the completion of the management contract for this hotel, Ms. Cox came to Northwest Hospitality Group’s Corporate Office whereby she assists in the overseeing of both the owned and management properties. Her knowledge of the day to day operations of hotels, aids in the centralized accounting department and in assisting with human resources issues. She assists the President of the company with many different projects from establishing corporate policies and procedures to assisting with the pre-opening and FF&E purchasing during Northwest Hospitality Group’s renovations/development of properties. She monitors these expenditures to budgets through purchase orders.
