 Property Description

Welcome to the historic Broadview, A Grand Heritage Hotel, a landmark in Wichita, KS and perhaps the Grand Dame of hotels in the mid- west. This treasure features 262 guest rooms, 2 f&b outlets and just under 30,000 sq ft of conference space. It is situated in the heart of downtown across the street from the Wichita Convention Center along the banks of the Arkansas River. A short walk away you will find the Wichita Ice Arena, Laurence Doumont Stadium, the soon to open 62 million dollar Exploration place, Cow Town, Indian Cultural Center, Botanical Gardens and Art Museum. The hotel built in 1922 went under a full restoration beginning in 1996 with phase one just finishing and phase two just about to get under way; the hotel should be fully restored by the end of 1999.Prior to renovation the hotel was under performing and is now poised to take a dominate position in the market place. Wichita is home to many corporate giants such as Boeing, Learjet, Raython, Cessna, Koch Industries, Coleman Company, McConnel AFB as well as three universities. The city boasts a wonderful symphany, ballet troupe, theatre guild, a minor league baseball team (farm of the Royals), hockey, soccer and greyhound track. Wichita is centrally located just three hours (driving time) south of Kansas City, Mo and three hours north of Oak City, OK. This region is known for its low cost of living, affordable housing, mild weather, declining crime rate, great schools and wonderful family envirnment. A great place to raise the kids!
