In addition to his consulting background, Mr. Miller has held operational management positions with Marriott, Westin, and Doubletree Hotels and was on the management teams at two of the world's finest resort hotels (Mobil Five Star Award winners) - the Arizona Biltmore and Camelback Inn. He has also been involved in restaurant operations, including the opening of a free-standing, first-class restaurant for a group of investors. Responsibilities included market study, business plan, menu design, establishing controls, purchasing, recruiting personnel, training, and managing service. During his college years, Mr. Miller was the Assistant General Manager for a 1,000-seat, Travel Holiday award-winning restaurant on Cape Cod, Massachusetts. [See Operational Experience abstract]

Mr. Miller received his degree from Cornell University's internationally recognized School of Hotel Administration. He was the President of the Cornell Club of Arizona, Inc. from 1991 to 1994 and a founding member of the Ivy League Club of Arizona (1993). In 1994, he was elected by the alumnus to serve as one of 12 worldwide directors of the Cornell Alumni Federation - a standing committee working for the continual advancement of Cornell's interests.
