Jim Lowe

Director of Facilities

Jim Lowe is the Director of Facilities for pm Hospitality Strategies, Inc. [pmHS] In this role, he directs the engineering, maintenance, housekeeping, life-safety, and security for each of the company's hotels. His knowledge in engineering and construction has proven valuable in the company's development and renovation activities.

Mr. Lowe brings 28 years of project development and renovations management experience to the company. Prior to joining pmHS, Mr. Lowe served as the Chief Engineer at Nordstrom Inc., in Tyson's Corner Virginia where the East Coast Corporate Offices are located. With Nordstrom, Mr. Lowe assisted with the opening of seven East Coast stores in five states. He has specialized in Energy Management and during his employment with Nordstrom, won the Energy Conservation Award sponsored by the utility companies and energy management councils from Maryland, Virginia, Delaware, and the District of Columbia twice in five years. Also during his employment with Nordstrom he won the White Glove Award, the companies highest award for the operation and condition of a property.

Prior to Nordstrom, Mr. Lowe spent twenty-one years in the parks and recreation field. During that time he served as Chairman of the Parks Acquisition and Development Committee where he supervised the development of regional and community parks. Mr. Lowe also served as Parks Superintendent supervising the Park Rangers; enforcing park laws, rules & regulations and reforestation; and preparing budgets and administering revenue collection.

Mr. Lowe is a Certified Engineering Operations Executive (CEOE) by the American Hotel & Motel Association (AHMA). He is also certified in Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration (HVAC&R), Electrical Maintenance / Diagnostics & Troubleshooting (EMDT), Low Pressure Boilers (LPB), and Basic Electricity (BE) by the National Association of Power Engineers (NAPE). He also holds a Type I, Type II, and Type III Certification in Refrigerant Transition and Recovery by the National Association of Power Engineers (NAPE).

A graduate of North Carolina State University in Recreation & Park Administration, Mr. Lowe also obtained graduate degrees in Maintenance Management and Revenue Sources Management.
