The Weekapaug Inn, established in 1899, is a seasonal Full American Plan resort overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and open from June to September. At the Inn we offer tennis, sailing, canoeing, bicyling, shuffleboard, lawn bowling and croquet. Our chef prepares three meals daily from scratch taking advantage of native seafood selections. Staying at the Inn is like stepping back in time to the old fashioned summer resort. There are no phones or televisions in the rooms and nightly entertainment is minimal. Guests come to the Inn to relax and get away from the fast pace of modern life. It is like staying in a beautiful and quiet summer home with the conveniences of a hotel. Our dining room seats 120 and the house count ranges from 80 to 100. We completely renovated our kitchen in 1999 and redecorated our public rooms. In 2000, we recarpeted 40 guest rooms and recovered all the furniture in those rooms as well. Our highest compliment we can receive from our guests after being around for over 100 years is "This Inn is so wonderful because it never changes".
We also own a seasonal cottage resort on the Gulf Coast of Florida and so winter employment is a possibilitiy. |
