Conveniently located near a variety of shops, restaurants, nightclubs, and Clearwater Marina. Tampa International Airport is 30 minutes away. In the 1960`s,this property was opened as the Clearwater Point Hilton and was owned by Stan Musial. The tower section was added in the 1970`s, and the top floor was a popular nightspot for both local and national celebrities. In 1985, Lane Hospitality Management purchased and renovated the hotel. In May of 1995, Lane Hospitality made a decision to undertake a major renovation and convert the hotel into The Holiday Inn SunspreeŽ Resort and Conference Center. The SunSpree`s 205 rooms are located in either the Tower Building which includes a private balcony for each room, or the Lanai Wing which provides direct access to the beach and Pool area.
