Arnold Palmer Golf Management was founded by Arnold Palmer in 1984, and has owned and operated hundreds of quality golf properties in the U.S. and worldwide since that time. Today, we are backed by Olympus Real Estate Corporation, the real estate arm of the $10 billion investment firm of Hicks, Muse, Tate & Furst. This partnership gives us one of the largest equity capitalizations in the golf club management industry. Recently, we announced a $100 million line of credit with Credit Lyonnais to supplement our outstanding relationship with NationsCredit, one of the most experienced lenders in the golf industry. This means that we have ready access to a virtually unlimited amount of both debt and equity capital for golf club transactions, and that we are a safe and speedy choice for closing a deal.
In 1998 alone, APG invested more than $80 million in golf properties, and assumed operating responsibility for clubs in which our clients invested an additional $50 million.
