After more than $7 million in course upgrades and renovation, and under the new management of Arnold Palmer Golf, Memphis National Golf Club has quickly earned a reputation for quality in the Mid South.
Memphis National's 36 holes offer golfers of every level a variety of challenges. But, Memphis National is more than just great golf. Its immaculate course conditions, outstanding service and friendly staff are just a few of the cornerstones you'll find when you experience the new Memphis National Golf Club.
Memphis National Golf Club features 18 holes of golf open to the public and a second 18-hole course for members only.
North Course - Members and Guests (par 72): This newly designed masterpiece is the latest crown jewel of golf in the Mid South. The playing surfaces are superb with Zoysia fairways and Crenshaw Bentgrass greens. A modest 6,800 yards, the North Course requires well-thought shots, and is a true shot-maker's course.
The front nine holes consist of generous -- but tree-lined – fairways and modest sand traps that permit open scoring. The back nine at Memphis National Golf Club's North Course offers a different set of challenges. Plush fairways allow for crisp shot-making as you carefully take aim at your targets. The large greens can help save strokes, if you can make an accurate approach. Low scoring on this side is a proud accomplishment.
South Course - Public (Par 72): This newly redesigned course is traditional in many ways. Mature Bermuda grass fairways, combined with new Pincross Bentgrass greens, provide a different set of challenges than the Member course. Its 6,600 yards provide the opportunity for newcomers to the game of golf to get out of the tee box and have a chance at lowering their scores. The South Course sets-up well for the long driver, and presents an ample opportunity for birdies. The 18th hole offers golfers a beautiful finishing hole, with its large green presenting a final challenge to your putter. |
