Carrols Corporation consists of over 345 Burger King(R) Restaurants operating in 13 states with employees numbering to 12,000. Approximately 1200 professionals oversee the day-to-day management of the operations. At Carrols, our managers play a vital role in all areas of the operation. This includes basic restaurant operations, guest relations, employee motivation and fiscal management. We also own a Florida-based restaurant chain called Pollo Tropicale.
We attribute our success to our emphasis on management development and retention. We actively work to grow our managers in order to meet our future needs. Our Company President, many Vice Presidents and most of our multi unit supervisors began their Carrols careers at the restaurant level. We balance this effort with the firm belief that promotion decisions will always be based on performance, never tenure. This means that top performers are rewarded for their accomplishments regardless of their tenure. We are very interested in the morale and opinions of our management teams. Every other year, we conduct a company wide manager opinion survey administered by London House. We use the results of this survey to adjust our employment practices and address the needs of our team.
