In the near future we hope to have the opportunity to find out a lot about you and the contributions you can make to our organization. For now, we would like you to know a little bit more about our company.
Since our founding in 1971, JDK has grown into a well-respected operator/manager of numerous corporations in the Mid-Atlantic region. Those corporations include Hampton Inn and Choice Hotels, full-service retirement communities and real estate development interests. That diversification gives us financial strength and a multi-dimensional entrepreneurial outlook.
We are committed to vigorous growth in the restaurant sector and actively seek new developments to balance and expand our portfolio. Those expertly chosen developments included seven new restaurants in the last 12 months. Whether that rate of expansion will continue or increase depends upon several external factors. Internally, the performance of those stores provides solid proof that we can attract those professionals that can handle rapid growth and other challenges.
Those hospitality professionals and their superb management of those new stores were a major reason we won the Chairman’s Award at the Franchise Owners Conference.
Current restaurant operations include 31 Perkins Family Restaurants and 2 Houlihans Restaurants in three states. All stores receive the latest technology and equipment.
Last year, that investment paid off and we became the #1 Perkins Operator in the World in terms of net revenues. Others may have more stores in their portfolios but no one is more committed to selecting the right stores and the right people.
