Located in the heart of Seattle the Hotel Monaco offers travelers the ultimate in style, comfort, and hospitality.
A boldly striped porte cocher, magnificent glass doors in shades of rich azure, and a stunning, high-ceilinged lobby all combine to entice guests the moment they step up to the Hotel Monaco... Seattle’s hippest hotel.
History
The Hotel Monaco occupies a building that was once a switching office for Pacific Northwest Bell. The building sat vacant for five years until August 1996 when it was purchased and completely transformed in 1997 by the Kimpton Group of San Francisco, owners and operators of hotels in California, Washington and Oregon.
The building's past as a nondescript office building and telephone switching center has been gracefully and completely erased during the $29 million renovation.
Sumptuous lobby, 22-foot high ceilings, enclosed by columns and pilasters, hand-painted ornamentation, white stucco fireplace, white quartzite floors, vibrant color accents
