French-inspired restaurant that is rich, warm and comfortable. Whimsical vintage French posters and artwork that plays on the 'hat' theme, celebrating Mossant's namesake Parisian milliner.
Intimate bar leads into dramatic, high-ceilinged dining area - high energy, with open cook line.
Deep red leather booths, banquettes, French antique sideboards; warm lighting, individual sconces in booths; large back-lit mirrors, cherrywood floor. Overall tones of burgundy, golden ochre, eggplant highlighted with French blue and dramatic sprays of fresh flowers.
Located in the center of downtown Chicago, adjacent to the Hotel Monaco Chicago, convenient to North Michigan Avenue and the Loop business district.

Original 1912 building housed a wholesale dealer in millinery goods; renovated as the Oxford House Hotel in 1958; renovated again in 1998 to house Mossant and the adjacent Hotel Monaco.
