DELAMAR—Greenwich Harbor is the first and only property in Connecticut to be a member of the prestigious Small Luxury Hotels of the World.
The hotel is a few steps from Greenwich’s fashionable shops, restaurants, businesses, cultural and recreational activities. It is conveniently located 35 minutes from midtown Manhattan, 10 minutes from downtown Stamford, and one block from Greenwich’s Metro North Station. The three-story watefront hotel, designed in a Mediterranean style with yellow stucco exterior and terra cotta tile roof, blends perfectly with its waterfront setting. A 600-foot private dock safely harbors luxury yachts upto 160 feet.
The hotel’s interiors recreate the ambience of a Tuscan countryside villa. Custom crafted and hand finished furnishings, shuttered windows with flower boxes, and fireplaces provide a warm, residential atmosphere.
DELAMAR Greenwich Harbor operates as an independent, full service, luxury boutique hotel with accommodations and public areas that appeal to discriminating business travelers as well as sophisticated leisure and social guests. Many guest rooms have balconies overlooking the harbor. All rooms have DVD and CD players, 900 MHz cordless phones, high-speed Internet access, two-line phones, as well as facsimile capability.
Renowned New York restauranteurs, Jean DeNoyer nd Rick Wahlstedt will direct all food and beverage services including the restaurant L’Escale. Among their present restaurants are Manhattan’s famed La Goulue on Madison Aveneue, Orsay at Lexington and 75th street and Le Colonial on East 57th street.
L’Escale serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Mediterranean style specialties with an emphasis on fresh seafood will be accompanied by an impressive wine list. L’Escale seats fifty at the bar and one hundred in the restaurant; a gracious dining terrace completes the venue. L’Escale also provides room service to hotel guests.
The harbor-view Ballroom is ideal for social and corporate events up to 150 guests. The intimate Boardroom, perfect for high level corporate meetings, is equipped with state-of-the art audio visual equipment and seating for up to 12 persons. |
