Most recently Ms. Simpson served as managing partner for SimpsonBrown, LLC, an executive search and consulting firm she founded specializing in the hospitality industry. Simpson held the position of vice president of sales and marketing, western region for Hilton Hotels Corporation, where she was responsible for all marketing, revenue generation and sales initiatives of a $1.6B revenue region with 60 properties including resorts in Mexico.
Throughout her career with Hilton, she has held director of sales and marketing positions at several properties including the 1,500-room Hilton Anaheim adjacent to the convention center, 1,300-room Hilton Los Angeles Airport, Hilton McLean (Virginia), Parsippany Hilton (New Jersey), and the Hilton flagship Waldorf Astoria in New York.
Ms. Simpson has served on committees and boards for Meeting Professionals International (MPI) where she served as chair for the organization’s Multicultural Initiative from 2004 to 2006, Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI), American Society of Association Executives (ASAE), United Way, and California State University Long Beach. She has also completed the Leadership Development Program at the Center for Creative Leadership.
