Property Description |
 |
The historic ambiance of the hotel is coupled with distinguished service and timeless charm. The elegantly renovated Peery Hotel is a historic landmark in Salt Lake City. Prominent European hotel architect, Mr. Charles B. Onderdonk, designed the Peery Hotel in the early 1900's, during the mining boom. The restored grace of the Peery Hotel awaits travelers today with unparalleled luxury at affordable prices.
The timeless charm of the Peery Hotel welcomes guests from the moment they enter the cut glass double doors into the stately lobby where distinguished service awaits. The Peery Hotel provides a personal touch to travel. Because of the small size of this historic property, staff is able to get to know guests on a personal level, and provide a greater range of service.History Peery Hotel was built during the Utah mining boom. The discovery of numerous rich mining districts, from the late 1880s through the beginning of the 20th century, brought large numbers of people involved in the related mining businesses. The Peery hotel was built to provide elegant services to those who succeeded in the mountains. It was constructed in 1910 just one year after the completion of the city's two major railroad depots and is located on the same street as the Denver Rio Grande Depot, two blocks to the East.
This elegant historic hotel has an intimate European feel that is reinforced by period furnishings throughout the property. Indulgent amenities and stellar service are woven with taste into the unique charm and heritage of the property. This beautiful hotel combines modern conveniences with historic charm and ambiance to provide for an unforgettable lodging experience. Whether in Salt Lake City for business or pleasure, travelers will revel in the world-class service, enjoy the central location in downtown Salt Lake City, and relax in comfort in the richly appointed suites equipped with every luxury.Ownership The Peery Hotel was purchased in late June of 2002 by Sage Hospitality Resources.
