After graduating from the US Naval Academy with an emphasis in general engineering, Fred entered the military and served amongst other areas in the Navy Special Forces.
Following a combat tour in Desert storm, Fred obtained a Wharton MBA and worked in investment banking and at a real estate hedge fund with a heavy hotel emphasis.
Following, Fred served as Vice President of Acquisitions at Thayer Lodging helping the company to grow the hotel asset base from 2,000 to 4,000 rooms adding an incremental $1 Billion to the portfolio valuation. Fred focused primarily on acquisitions, operations, sales distribution, and Internet sales.
