Upon graduating from Michigan State University, Trip served as the operations director at several hotels.
Following, he spent time as a consultant working with large pension funds to improve the operations of their own hotel investments.
Trip then joined Thayer Lodging Group serving as the Vice President of Strategic Planning responsible for asset management and strategic initiatives designed to improve overall asset operations from sales initiatives including Internet marketing and also cost containment programs.
