The beautiful 500-room Sheraton Wild Horse Pass Resort and Spa is located in the Sonoran Desert on an expanse of rugged Arizona landscape where the ancient vistas, mountains, and roaming wild horses remain untouched. Designed to be an authentic representation of the Gila River Indian Community heritage and culture, we offer the quiet serenity created by the sages and native tribes who found haven here. We are conveniently located 11 miles from the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport on the Gila River Indian Community.
Our destination resort includes two distinct 18-hole Troon managed golf courses - home of the Nationwide Insurance Tour Gila River Golf Classic, a PGA tour event, Aji Spa, a 17,000 square foot spa with 17 treatment rooms, tennis courts, jogging trails, and the Koli Equestrian Center for riding lessons, trail rides and outdoor events. We also offer four pools with cascading waterfalls and a 111-foot waterslide designed after the Casa Grande Ruins. Enjoy the 2.5-mile replica of the Gila River that meanders through the resort grounds with scenic boat rides to the Whirlwind Golf Club and adjacent Wild Horse Pass Casino.
Our professionally trained staff will plan your event, for groups of 10 to 2,000, in extensive function space including a 17,376 square foot ballroom and an abundance of scenic outdoor venues. Our 500 guest rooms have been designed with the cultural beauty of the Pima and Maricopa Indians in mind. An interior designer's masterpiece, each detail has been included for cultural significance from the Pima and Maricopa traditions, from the design of the tiles and bedspreads, to the petroglyph-inspired furniture. Each room also offers authentic prints of artwork indicative of each tribe's cultural influence. All guest rooms feature bath suites with a separate tub and shower and are stocked with luxury bath products. Enjoy panoramic views including the Sierra Estrella and South Mountain Ranges, the Gila River and our two championship golf courses from your private patio or balcony. You may even see the wild horses roaming across the desert.

Our Convention Services staff will help guests plan events in over 100,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor function space. Designed to inspire, our function rooms are named after desert animals in the Pima and Maricopa languages, and feature earth tones and cultural designs. Our main ballroom offers over 17,000 square feet, and our Junior Ballroom, over 7,000 square feet. Sixteen function rooms offer a variety of seating options. The two ballrooms display murals in subtle tones with images based on ancient figures representing music and dancing in the Main Ballroom, while baskets and pottery designs adorn the Junior Ballroom.
Our catering staff excels in designing menus for groups of all sizes. Offering a blend of skill and creative talent, we can help our guests create an event tailored to their needs and interests with touches of our regional cuisine and flavor. We offer an array of both indoor and extensive outdoor venues and can transform a room with themes such as Old West and Native Spirit. Due to our superb desert setting, we are able to offer year-round outdoor venues. Events can be held in beautiful surroundings such as our Grand Lawn, Poolside Terrace, Koli Equestrian Center, and be topped off with sunset views and fireworks.
Restaurants & Lounges
We offer a variety of dining experiences to suit any taste. Our signature restaurant, Kai, which means "seed" in the Pima language, is a most appropriate name for a restaurant serving foods grown right on the Gila River Indian Community. Consulting James Beard award-winning Chef Janos Wilder brings these native seeds to life with a menu rich in creativity and history. The Wine Cellar offers private VIP dining for up to 14 guests.
