 Property Description

Bryce Canyon. It is here that delicacy of form unites with brilliancy of color. From sunrise to sunset, the changing scenes pass before you in vivid reds, yellows and purples. Watch as light plays upon rock, immersing you in a dazzling light show. It's one of Mother Nature's masterpieces and it's all yours to explore.

Completely renovated to its original rustic 1920s elegance - down to replicas of the lodge's original hickory furniture - this beautiful "in-the-park" lodge is on the National Historic Register. Western cabins feature gas fireplaces, two queen beds and full baths. They are within a short walk to both the rim and the lodge. This quiet and relaxed atmosphere, without televisions, allows the guest to get reacquainted with nature.

Fine dining is available in the main lodge.

Why People Like to Work for Us

What is it like to work in a National Park?

If hired, the work you will be doing will be similar to working at a high quality private resort. But the privilege of living and working in a National Park is an experience unmatched anywhere else. The jobs we offer can provide a first step toward a career in the hospitality industry or year-round employment in a park that you can call home.

What is it like to live in a National Park?

There are hundreds of miles of trails to hike, outstanding terrain for mountain biking, camping, fishing, rock climbing, photography, nature walks, Park Service programs, wildlife viewing, athletic events, group trips and more. Self-motivated employees will find an abundance of activities to occupy their free time.

What will be expected of me?

We are looking for employees who are willing to work hard, who enjoy working with and for others, and who take pride in a job well done. It takes considerable teamwork to provide first class service to the millions of guests who visit the parks each year. We expect you to make a commitment to excellence in your personal standards and work habits, to respect the work that you and other employees accomplish and to create and maintain a positive living environment.

Hours Worked/Compensation

Most seasonal employees will average 40-48 hours per week. There may be seasonal fluctuations in hours worked during certain times of the year. Employees may be assigned to work any day of the week, shifts may start at any hour of the day and split shifts are possible. Paydays are currently every two weeks. Overtime paid at time and a half after 48 hours worked.

Appearance Standards

With guest service as our priority, the Company reserves the right to set appearance standards for its employees. Hairstyles must be neat and well-groomed at all times and of a natural color. Dreadlocks are generally not acceptable. Beards and moustaches must be established during vacation or other extended time away from work. Employees are required to conform to all health and sanitation regulations including the use of hair restraints where applicable. Uniforms must be clean and worn neatly. Nametags are worn while on duty. Employees may wear one pair of earrings in the ear only. Rings or studs worn in any other visible body part are not acceptable. New employees are expected to arrive at their work location in full compliance with our appearance standards.
