 Company Description

The history of our parent company, Capital Restaurant Concepts, goes back to the 1982 opening of J.Paul's — An American Dining Saloon, in Washington, DC's historic Georgetown. Originated by Paul J. Cohn, the restaurant was an immediate success and one of the catalysts in the rejuvenation of Washington's entertainment district. In 1985, J.Paul's, was acquired by Capital Management and Development Corporation (CMDC). An entrepreneurial organization since its inception, CMDC financed the growth of the company through partnerships, all under the common management and control of CMDC.

In late 1994 and early 1995, ownership of the U.S. restaurants was consolidated. This was a major step in the evolution of CMDC's restaurants to a sophisticated company managed by industry professionals with significant depth and expertise. Today we are known as Capital Restaurant Concepts, Ltd.

Creativity and diversity are both hallmarks of Capital Restaurant Concepts. All of our operations, from quick service to fine dining, have a uniqueness that differentiates us from our competitors. There are four common elements that characterize a CRC restaurant:

Design Layouts - High-profile locations with dramatic interior open spaces, display kitchens, and high-energy visual and auditory appeal designed to enhance the entertainment value of the dining experience. We set a tremendous stage!

Exceptional Food - Professionally trained chefs focusing on fresh, quality ingredients, creative presentations, and the art of cooking. Menu variety in our "from scratch kitchens" is enhanced by daily specials that reflect emerging food trends.

Quality Service - Theatrical in style, but genuine, caring and with attention to every detail. Our service, and the training that supports it, is designed to maximize guest appeal and to create lifetime guests.

High Perceived Value - The innovative presentation of Exceptional Food in ample portions, with Quality Service in appealing Design Layouts creates a lasting impression of guest value within the broadest demographic and market segments.
