The Comfort Inn- University is a well-appointed 138-room hotel consisting of four stories. Guest rooms feature king or double-bedded rooms with remote control television, 52 channel cable, and come equipped with spacious work and seating areas. Of special note are 18 whirlpool suites for those special honeymoon, anniversary, or getaway vacations, in addition to a double wide whirlpool tub, these rooms have separate living and bedroom areas, wet bar, and individual televisions. All rooms offer computer hook-up telephones and voice mail. Special amenities include an exercise room, outdoor pool, coin-operated laundry and copy and fax services.
For meetings, receptions, and other special events, there is 920 square feet of function space plus an executive boardroom and a hospitality suite. The Friday Center is less than 5 ½ miles from the hotel.
All guests are invited to our deluxe complimentary breakfast buffet every morning. Other restaurant options include Bob Evans, Outback Steakhouse, and Kanki Japanese Steakhouse within walking distance to the hotel. A major shopping center, for those last minute items, is only ½ mile from the hotel. Streets at South Point mall and entertainment center is only 6 miles away and Brightleaf Square is less than 9 miles away.
The hotel is centrally located within easy access to Durham, Chapel Hill, and the Research Triangle Park via 1-40 and I-85. Less than 5 1/2 miles from Duke and UNC Universities and hospitals, the Dean Smith Center, Kenan Stadium, Cameron Indoor Stadium, Franklin Street and Morehead Planetarium and less than 6 1/2 miles from Durham Bulls Athletic Park. Additionally, the Raleigh Durham International Airport is only 12 miles east along I-40. |
