Frances Turner has held strategic marketing, sales and general management positions with oversight for and P&L management of multi-million dollar field operations across the U.S. Ms. Turner is a 14-year veteran of the cable television industry, having held senior-level division, regional and local management & marketing/sales roles with the largest urban cable operators in the country, including Time Warner, TCI, Century Communications and Cox Communications. Ms. Turner also held client service positions with Home Box Office, The Leo Burnett Company and The Chicago Maroon.
Ms. Turner founded Incubex LLC, a marketing & management consulting firm serving small businesses, and co-founded Alexamar LLC, operator of a retail franchise. She was Executive Director of alt.Consulting, a non-profit firm that provided management consulting to small businesses and technical assistance to community economic development entities throughout Tennessee, Mississippi & Arkansas.
Among Ms. Turner’s honors, she was named a national Betsy Magness Fellow by Women In Cable & Telecommunications, received Girls’ Incorporated “She Knows Where She’s Going” Award, and won a National 1st Place Award for Marketing Excellence by Viewers’ Choice Pay-Per-View and the Cable Television Marketing Society. Ms. Turner has served as a board member for several community organizations including The Grant Center, the Memphis Redbirds Baseball Foundation and the Memphis Urban League. Ms. Turner holds an MBA in Marketing & Business Policy from the University of Chicago and a BA, cum laude, in Social Studies, from Harvard University.
