Helmut Rueckert is responsible for the day-to-day operation of Crescent Hospitality portfolio of businesses. He has over 27 years of experience in up-scale hotel - and restaurant management in Europe, the Caribbean, the United States and can look back onto a long, rich family tradition in hospitality. From 1998 to 2004, he held the position of Vice President of Operations at Hudson Hotels, an owner and operator of up-scale, independent full service hotels and resorts and select service branded hotels by Marriott, Hilton, Intercontinental Hotels Group and Choice Hotels. Prior to Hudson Hotels, Helmut has been with Hyatt Hotels and Resorts for 13 years and held several hotel-level executive positions throughout the country.
Helmut's strengths are effective owners communication, an ability to produce positive results in difficult business environments and a strong focus on return of owner’s equity. His track record is outstanding in Sales and Marketing, cost controls, Quality Assurance and development of strong, efficient property teams. He was born and educated in Germany with a major emphasis on business and economics. He is also a Certified Chef, trained in some of the finest hotels in Europe, and a wine enthusiast.
