Airlie Center is an active member of the International Association of Conference Centers (IACC). Airlie was founded in 1960 as an "island of thought," and has provided a unique environment for the creative exchange of ideas ever since. A continuing committment to practical conference planning remains an integral part of the Center's mission.
The Center has been a member of the Department of Environmental Quality's Environmental Lodging Program since 2001 and also holds its highest level of recognition, Exemplary Environmental Excellence or "E3" certification. Airlie was the 3rd facility in Virginia to earn Green Seal certification through Green Seal's Greening the Lodging Industry Program, in August of 2004. |

- The Center's natural setting provides a scenic backdrop for jogging, biking, fishing, volleyball, softball, horseshoes, swimming, tennis or skeet shooting. Airlie's campus provides trails and gardens for visitors to enjoy its diverse flora and fauna. For the fitness minded Airlie has a 10 station outdoor parcourse (arriving this spring) and a fitness center with sauna.
