Canaan Valley Resort, recently voted among the 50 Great Places to Stay for a Dream Weekend in the Washingtonian Magazine, offers various lodging accommodations to it's guest. Accommodations include 250 guest rooms, complete with cable TV, telephones, individual heat and air conditioning, complimentary coffee, irons and ironing boards, and newly added complimentary high speed internet access. Efficiency rooms and handicapped-accessible rooms are available.
Nestled in our peaceful forests, we offer a total of 23 secluded, private cabins and cottages complete with fireplaces, linens, and full kitchens. Cabins range from 2,3 and 4 bedrooms in size. Twelve deluxe cottages featuring 4 bedrooms are also available with full amenities including dishwashers, microwaves, telephones and cable television. Housekeeping services are available for an additional fee. Downhill skiers of all levels will enjoy the slopes at Canaan Valley Resort. The 37 slopes include 30 percent beginner, 40 percent intermediate and 30 percent advanced runs. With a vertical drop of 850 feet and the longest run at 6,000 feet, the experience can be as challenging as guests want it to be.
Night skiing is available during prime season Saturday and Sunday nights, plus special holiday nights on 11 slopes.
Recently rated 4 stars by Golf Digest Magazine, our Geoffrey Cornish designed championship course is one of the finest in all the Mid Atlantic. Framed by the spectacular Allegheny Mountains, it- and you, are surrounded by the breathtaking West Virginia countryside. The course offers 65 sand bunkers, 8 water hazards and lush greens which are challenging to the experienced golfers yet friendly to the beginner. What better way to spend a brilliant spring, summer or autumn West Virginia day than hitting our links. Putting green and driving range also available.
The glass-walled Hickory Room features views of the valley and mountains to enjoy while dining.
The Laurel Lounge offers guests appetizers and drinks while they enjoy the big-screen TV or scheduled entertainment.
Our snack bar offers a variety of comfort foods.
The Bear Paw Lodge food court seats 450 people, featuring choice cuisine, pizza, deli subs, soups, etc. This day lodge offers Choice Cuisine as well. |
