Wine Spectator, America's leading wine appreciation magazine has honored The Driskill Grill with their "2009 Best of Award of Excellence". The Best of Award of Excellence, according to Wine Spectator, is given to restaurants whose wine lists offer a carefully chosen selection of "quality producers, along with a thematic match to the menu in both price and style," and the Driskill Grill is the only restaurant within Austin City limits to have received this honor.

The Driskill Grill

The Driskill Grill will host a casual "come as you are" fine wine tasting every second Sunday of each month. The Driskill Hotel Wine Director and Sommelier will pull some great vintages of various wines from our extensive cellar to try. Recently awarded Wine Spectator Magazine's Best of Award of Excellence, The Driskill Grill is the perfect place to come relax, have fun, and learn of some new favorite wines while enjoying the great sounds of Austin's Anthony Farrel of The Greyhounds who will be playing his soul and blues on the well-known Driskill Bar piano.

The Driskill Grill's Chef's Table seats up to six and offers a close-up view of the culinary action and a custom tasting menu. The Driskill also offers "Chef for a Day" and "Chef for an Afternoon" packages, which include a kitchen tour, hands-on cooking alongside our culinary team, and dinner in the Driskill Grill.
