The Midwest Culinary Institute at Cincinnati State Technical and Community College is built upon a thirty-year tradition of culinary education excellence. Cincinnati State has taken that distinction to build a national center for entry level associate's degree and certificate culinary education, continuing education for the baccalaureate degree, professional development opportunities and non- credit community classes.
In addition, the Midwest Culinary Institute, provides students the opportunities to hone their skills by working for wages and cooperative education credits in Bakery Hill, a fully operation retail bakery and wedding cake sales outlet, numerous banquet and special events, plus starting Jan 08 a new ala cart restaurant operation.
All of these fully accredited culinary pastry arts programs and professionally manager retail operations are housed within a new 218,000 square foot Advanced Technology and Learning Center that is consider the most expansive and state of the art hospitality and technical learning facility in the country.
