Property Description |
 |
Set amidst the Tongass National Forest, the Cape Fox Lodge is a unique place to stay in Ketchikan. All guest rooms enjoy sweeping views of either the Tongass Narrows or the beautiful Deer Mountain.
Our gracious structure is complemented by the area's Native Alaskan art, featuring a totem mural carved by Nathan Jackson at the second floor mezzanine.
Facing the front of the lodge is the Council of the Clans, a totem circle with six totems carved by Tlingit carver Lee Wallace. The lobby library and the second floor balcony present to visitors a truly unique artifact collection featuring Northwest Native Art.
Restaurant & Lounge The Heen Kahidi Dining Room (which is Tlingit for Creek House) boasts a wall of floor to ceiling windows overlooking downtown, the marina and the Narrows.
The dress code is casual but chef Timothy Frank creates a magnificent selection of locally caught Halibut and Salmon entrees. Of course, guests will have everlasting memory of the Mud Pie dessert.
Guest Rooms Each large guest room features either two doubles or one king bed with soft plaid comforters for a restful nights sleep. White pine furniture complements this cozy atmosphere.
All the convenient amenities are included in each room. The suites, tucked up under the eaves of the main lodge on the third floor, give the feeling of being in the tree tops. They offer views of the Tongass Narrows and include a large living area with a couch. Suites are accented by local Native art. |
