Waterfall Resort, a unigue Alaska sportfishing destination catering to high-end guests.
Located in a remote wilderness region of Southeast Alaska approximatley 60 miles west of Ketchikan Alaska. Waterfall is a 92-bed all-inclusive resort, providing exciting sportfishing and wildlife experiences for guests that include U.S. Senators, sports figures and Fortune 500 CEO's.
In operation since 1983, the resort is open annually from late May through August with a seasonal staff of 95 employess and a year-round staff of 12. Waterfall maintains an office in Ketchikan (sales & reservations, accounting and management) and a sales & marketing office in Sanata Barbara, California.
As soon as your plane glides to the dock, the Waterfall Resort staff welcomes you and takes your luggage to your private accommodations. As you check in at the General Store, turn in your airline tickets with departure information. You will then receive your room key and be assigned your guide boat. This is the time to purchase your Alaska State Fishing License, King Salmon Stamp, and your $100,000 King of Kings Salmon Tournament ticket.
Along the West Coast of Prince of Wales Island, extreme tides and surging ocean currents create a habitat for millions of bait fish that attract annual returns of trophy-size salmon, halibut, red snapper, and ling cod. These natural phenomena, which first attracted commercial fishermen, offer premier fishing grounds in Alaska for some of the best salmon and halibut sport fishing in the world.
Fishing Equipment provided, including custom designed Almar aluminum cabin cruisers, Furuno Marine Electronics, high performance rods and Penn reels, and Alaskan certified and professionally licensed guides. |
